Baildon Methodist Church has a long and historic association with Action for Children.

Originally known as National Childrens Home (NCH), the organisation was founded by Rev Thomas Bowman Stephenson – a Methodist Minister.  It is deeply rooted in Methodist principles and it supports and speaks out for the UK’s most vulnerable, disadvantaged and neglected children and young people – for as long as it takes.

The Baildon Action for Children Committee co-ordinate fund-raising for this charity by a range of events throughout the year.

The main annual event is the Christmas Fayre held in November. In addition there are:

  • Stalls selling cakes, gifts, toiletries, books, toys, jams, etc
  • Games for children to play
  • Baildon calendar on sale
  • Refreshments and hot lunches

None of this would happen without our army of volunteers and supporters for whom we are ever grateful

Last year we raised £4000.00 for Action for Children – will you help us to achieve a higher target at the forthcoming events?
