THE END OF GREEN BRICKS
2019, the Year of Green Bricks, draws to a close. Thank you all for your support.
It has raised over £70,000, but we are still £50,000 short of the £90,000 target for the Fold. If, as various people have said to me, you wish to give more to the Fold but have never quite got round to it, here for the last time is the link for you, your friends and relatives. Some may wish to add up and pay for the carbon cost of their travel in the whole of 2019. This offsets some of the damage our carbon emissions cause. It can be calculated at or, for example, £1 for every 100 miles flown.
I am most grateful to everyone for their encouragement.
We are proud to have the first building on Church premises in the whole of Britain constructed to similar standards to those of a Passivhaus, using virtually no energy and giving off virtually no carbon dioxide. The future is here. This is how all our houses should be built.
The first floor will be particularly suitable for Uniformed Organisations: Beavers, Cubs and Scouts / Rainbows, Brownies and Guides- who will have free lettings. We have secured generous funding from Baildon Town Council to install state-of-the-art projection apparatus.
The extensive ground floor will be particularly equipped for our well-loved and long-established Baildon Pre-school.
Huge bills are coming in; we’ve raised £800,000 and we need a further £100,000 to pay the final bills. Folk have said, “Ah yes, we’re going to give you something” – but not all of you have got round to it yet.
A few crucial months remain in 2019. Please give as generously as you can now.

Some of us are giving money to offset the carbon dioxide we are emitting – particularly on holiday travel. If you wish to calculate this yourself then click HERE but please don’t donate on that website.
We thank all those who have so generously given.
We are nearly there
Let’s finish the job.
