At Baildon Methodist Church, you will find a variety of people leading worship on Sunday mornings.

We believe the diversity of styles and ideas which this arrangement provides, is one of our strengths.

We encourage all those who lead worship to be aware of the character and mission of Baildon Methodist Church and to reflect our commitment to providing services which are challenging and relevant to modern life. To read the information which we provide to people planning to lead worship at Baildon Methodist Church click link to below.

A Minister always leads our communion services. These are generally on the 3rd Sunday of each month, as well as at special Christian festivals such as Easter. Click link to Ministers

Both of Baildon Methodist Church Lay Pastors are trained and have many years of experience as Local Preachers. One of our Lay Pastors lead worship at least one service per month at Baildon. Click link to Lay Pastors item under Who’s Who.

One of the distinguishing features of the Methodist Church of Great Britain is its reliance not only on ordained Ministers to lead worship, but also lay people.

A Methodist Local Preacher is a lay person who has been accredited by a Methodist church to lead worship and preach on a regular basis. S/he will have undergone training over several years prior to accreditation.

A Methodist Worship Leader is a lay person who has also undertaken training for this role.

At Baildon, from time to time, we make our “Own Arrangement” for the leadership of our services. We are fortunate to have some within our congregation some individuals, families, or groups who are able to lead worship.

We are also delighted to welcome occasional visits from Ministers from other Methodist Circuits and from other denominations.
