Pastoral visitor team

The Methodist Church nationally takes great care to ensure that Church congregations are cared for and supported in times of need and also in times of joy and celebration.

Baildon Methodist Church does this through a team of Pastoral Visitors, people who are trained to be aware of safeguarding issues and appropriate ways of offering comfort, love , and care, thereby maintaining a Safe Space that extends through church premises and into peoples homes.

There are clearly established lines of communication which help to provide support and access to specialists if necessary.

Pastoral visitors meet together and with the Minister to offer peer support to each other which helps them to be a vital team supporting a loving Christian community.

The team is led by the Minister however initial contact to ask for advice is via the Lay Pastors.
